I got started way too late. As a teen, despite hearing the religous mesages of ‘you’ll burn in hell if you have pre-marital sex,’ I still tried to score like any other guy. But, being a ‘plain Joe,’ the girls could do better than me, and frequently did. I continued taking my unsuccessful shots into my erly 20s until I noticed my sex drive waning. My Dr. said it was nothing to worry about. Around the same time, I took a job with unpredictable hours, and I had to travel a bit. That put the kibosh on most chances at a long-term relationship. Most women wanted a guy who was around once in a while. Fast forward nearly 20 years. My company finally went out of business, and I was forced to get a ‘real job.’ After a couple of years, I finally landed a girl friend, but alas, my sex drive was nearly gone as I entered middle age. I was a 40-something virgin with little chance of changing that. Anyway, after we had dated nearly 8 months or so, we had to travel to L A to see some relatives. While out there, my g/f finally, and literally, jumped my bones. She mounted me but there was little in the way of an erection. We did it three times that week, and while she got off on it, I didn’t. There was nothing. I’ll never initiate sex with her. It wasn’t worth waiting for. I guess life made me wait too long.
