June 4th, 1991. It was the night before he was going to go see his dad for the summer. He sent his best friend over to my house to get me to sneak out and see him. Of course I went. I was soooo in love.
Once we got to the fort, almost all of our close friends were there. Kind of creepy now that I think back to it. We all sat around, drinking the beers. Then he took me into the other room. Yes – our fort had two rooms and a hallway. It was really cheesy. I lay on top of one of those plastic storage things that go on top of a RV. I think there was a sleeping bag, but I don’t remember for sure. And we did it. I don’t remember the pain, but I know it hurt. I remember sliding off a few times. I remember is was so uncomfortable. I think I went home around 3 or 4 am. I started my first period that morning. I always thought that was a weird coincedence. Oh, and after he came back at the end of the summer, he dumped me. Go figure.
We did end up dating off and on for about 10 years though. Last I heard, he was terminally ill…
