This story took place back in the mid 1940s Its during the ww2 war area I was just discharged out of the army no one at home was expecting me as I did not write ahead saying I was coming home after being gone for so long .after I got setled down once more I had my old chevy car out of the shed where it had set for a few years .My dad had past away a few weeks be for i was out of the army mom was living lone which at her age was not the best she was in her late fiftys very lonely as she was a good warm heated lady.well one saturday evening I had been out with a young lady more my age we had been to a movie then off to as dance hall as we both loved dancing .At the dance hall there was a ajoining tavern where we had a few drinks later took her back to her home mom was all ways alone at home for sme reason I had never giver her much thought very thoughtless of me .latter on it hit me maybe she wouldlike to be taken out for a good time so the next saturday at lunch time I hit her up to go out with me like on a date was her question.Of course i said it could be a date if thats what you want to call it well it all fel apart so will finish this latter by leon
