I was 17 and in love with my high school sweetheart. He and I grew up in the same neighborhood and had dated for a couple of years by this time. He was two years older and about to be a second-year at West Point. My parents had gone on vacation, leaving me at home, so we made love at home in my room. It was absolutely lovely and tender from beginning to end. He was very sweet, very patient and gentle. I was surprised by how much it hurt, but at the same time, happy to be so close to him. I am so glad that it happened the way that it did and that I have sweet memories of that time in my life. I can’t believe that it’s been over twenty years now.
