You know how every song you hear affects a certain part of your life,
well for me, this is most certainly true.. At this time, I
had found my sweetheart, the man that I wanted to be mine.
We were engaged to be married.. engaged for 1 month, and even
though he teased me and my friends teased me about giving
him my special gift for christmas.. the thought did cross
my mind, but I knew that the timing wasn’t right yet…
It was our first christmas together, and I’d known him for 2 yrs.,
dated for 1 year, he was my best friend, and then sum..
and I was on my way to be with him, being that our relationship
was long distance.. he begged me to come up earlier, but I declined
and told him I’d get there when I got there.. and then i heard
that darn song, just as I pulled in the drive way.. and
my heart felt warm, and full of spirit, a feeling I never felt
before in my life.. and Im really serious.. about that one,
anyways.. I get there.. he’s sleeping in his twin bed,
which is a good way to get close.. and so I snuggle up next to him
for the suprise of his life.. He says, “are you sure?”
happily.. and after we recieved each others gifts,.. he
says, “now I know how forever feels…” Ends up.. that we
moved our wedding date up a few months, and we were married this
past September 10th, 1999. That’s my story, and that song is
by Kenny Chesney, I want to know how forever feels.. Just like
everybody else, … and if you get nothing out of this story,
just remember that, everybody has a special gift, you want to
give that to someone special.. because otherwise you’ll regret it
