I’m married now, I have an adorable girl, “Nicole”, but recently I’ve been wondering about who I really am.
I was shy in high school, and I guess I still am. My best friend “Morgan”, was more out-going and had more friends. So it was a big deal when Morgan invited me to Sarah’s party. Sarah was super popular and she always got the boys I was too afraid to talk too. She knew Morgan and I were best friends, but only allowed me to come because Morgan had the alcohol hook-up. Morgan’s brother worked at a gas station and held parties of his own–which my parents knew–and was not allowed to go to, though not for lack of trying. Sarah convinced Morgan to get beer and wine coolers from her brother, which she did, though it cost Morgan $50 and Sarah’s (and her friends) promise of coming to his next party. I gave Morgan $20 because she was short cash.
I’m not sure how I got permission to go, my parent’s were busy and my younger brother was being a brat. Morgan’s mom of all people picked me up and took us to Sarah’s house. Morgan’s mom was the best. She let her do whatever she wanted. Morgan smuggled 4 6 packs right under her nose. Sarah was inside and everyone was drinking,Sarah was already 1/2 drunk when we got there. I had tried beer, but it’s just gross, so i had wine coolers–in a blue cup. Sarah’s mom was home but “went to bed early”.
I was on the couch watching mtv, people were dancing. Morgan was with Joe, he was one of her brothers friends, but we were cool. Joe, was kissing all over her, i just laughed. Then half-drunk Sarah came over and sat next to me. I was weird-ed out, Sarah barely said hi to me @ school.
