Dee and I grew up together and we had a “show me-show you” session when we were both 14, but she moved two towns over shortly after. Four years later I had my first car so I called her up and asked if I could come by. The next nite we got together and just drove around. I offered to do the same for here but she said we had to get back. I took her home and kissed her good night with hopes of many happy returns. Never happened. Many a time I’ve thought about looking here up thirty years later to see if things have changed.
