THIS IS NOT A TYPO. I really lost my virginity soon after
I turned 27. My first time wasn’t much different than anyone
elses with the normal anxiety and awkwardness that most people
experience. It’s a long story, but I will make it as short
as possible.
Here is a little background about myself. I was your typical
shy, quiet “nice guy” who girls perceived as “just friends”.
You know what I mean? They would give me the lines “Don’t worry,
you will find someone”, “Many girls would love to date a
guy like you”, and other patonizing comments. Sound familiar?
As I got older, my inexperience was becoming a burden for me,
and made it increasingly difficult to pursue a relationship.
When I was 26, I finally met the right girl. We went out a few
times and I knew that she was going to be my first. At the
same time, I was uncertain about what to tell her about my
past. I was concerned that she would think I was a “loser” if
I told her about my past (or lack of it). I browsed all the
sex-related web site (safe-sex, techniques, advice columns)
to gain all the book-knowledge as possible since I had no
“real” experience. I was also afraid that if I told her
about my inexperience, she would tell all her friends and
it would become common knowledge among our cirlce of friends.
My other concerns that she would either question my sexuality,
my emotional stability, etc…
I don’t believe that I did it, but I managed to have sex
with her without her knowing that I was a virgin. We discussed
very little regarding past experiences, and we both like it that
way. I simply described my past as “nothing serious” and
“I just havenÆt been meeting the right type of people that
I can really æclickÆwith”. When she asked me how old I was
when I lost my virginity, I just gave her a number that I
thought was “normal”. I always had to make sure that I never
said or did anything that would give me away. We have been
going out for well over a year and she still never knew.
I’m so surprised that I pulled it off.
