I’m a big dyke and never have had sex with men, so I suppose by some counts I am still a virgin, but I don’t think of myself that way. I first had sex when I was 20, probably fairly late. I had been dating my (more experienced) girlfriend, L., for about 3 months and at that point she had stayed over a bunch and we were always kissing and whatnot, but nothing below the waist had occurred. We were in bed in my dorm room at Barnard and my roommate was away so L. was staying over. L. sort of slowly moved down my body and I took my pants off and she went down. I was so nervous I was shaking and my face went numb. The experience was a good one, though I had no idea what I was doing. It was a long time before she ever let me touch her. I think she sort of bordered on being a stone butch and never was one for receiving. We eventually broke up partially because of bed death, partially because we just ended up being very different people. She was sweet with me early on and I do think about the early parts of the relationship with a certian amount of nostalgia.
