Let me start this by telling a little about myself. I am 18 and have recently joined the military. I am in the Air Force. I have been in Texas since June 16th. The last time I saw my girlfriend was June 14th. That day was the worst day of my life.
I spent the whole day with my girlfriend watching movies. I had a great time jsut being with her. We watched movies all day. We were laying on her couch. I can remember at the end of the day I had to go home to get ready to leave for Basic Training. When it was time for me to leave, she started crying. It took everything I had to not cry in front of her. I wanted to stay with her so badly. IT hurt knowing I had to leave her behind. I walked out the door with a tear in my eye but I did not let her see it. She was hurting enough and that owuld have just put more pain into it.
I left for San Antonio Texas to begin my life. The hardest thing I ever did was leave home. For the next 6 weeks, life was pure hell for me. Getting up at odd hours of the night to get ready for the next day of training. By the time training ended, I was a United States Air Force Airman. I was so happy to be over that part of my life. Next began 9 weeks of schooling to learn how to fix jet engines. I love what I do for a living and would not give it up for anything (except my soon to be wife).
October 12th-the day I graduated Tech School. I left the next morning for MIssouri-home! When I arrived at my girlfriends college campus, I snuck up behind her and sat down next to her. She thought it was jsut a friend of hers. Then she looked at me and almost jumped out of her skin! I almost started crying myself. I was so relieved to be in her arms once again. It had been 4 months since I held someone that close to me and it felt great. A few hours later I left but only to return on Friday. Friday came around and we went back the the campus. We went out to a dance club and danced for a while. The last dance was to KEnny Chesney’s “You Had Me From Hello”. We danced to it as I sang to her. I thought she was going to cry. Just looking into her eyes and seeing the love I felt was enough to make me drunk with love. We went back to her room and her roomate went and stayed with a friend in their room to give my girlfrined and I the night alone. We layed donw in her bed and cuddled close to each other for a while. WE started to watch Sister Act 2 and she asked me for a back rub. I started to rub her back and no more than 5 minutes later she was sound asleep. I layed there for almost an hour just watching her sleep. She was so beautiful. I just lay there and think about what our future will be like. With any luck, God will keep her and I together until the other passes away.
She is the key to my heart and no one will ever be able to touch my heart the way she has. She has done something to me that I hope never ends. She is the love of my life and I will love her until my dying day. I thank you for everything you have given me Vicki. I pray that God grants me my wish and all your dreams will come true. I love you.
