we had met barely seven weeks before and were both virgins, he was 19 and i was 17. we were living a college dorm together in our first year at university, and from the day we met, there was chemistry. unfortunately, he was still hung up on his ex and i was too in love with him for my own good. destined for tragedy! we had talked about this, how he thought it could never work, considering we shared the same friends, and how i hoped so desperately that it would. it happened on a saturday night. we had both been drinking and it had been a pretty dramatic night for both of us, our friends wrecking havoc. we seperated for a while and when we were both back at our dorm, we got to talking in my room. the talking turned into kissing but i stopped him and reminded him that he didn’t want this, he knew it could never work. he told me that he was really attracted to me and wanted it so bad but just was terrified of hurting me. we were fooling around and i confessed that i wanted to take it further but also that he was a bit drunk and i knew that he didn’t want to lose his virginity when he was drunk. he assured me that he had sobered up and that he had been thinking about this for a long time, that i was was the right person. so i decided, what the hell? it was awkward, to say the least. it hurt a lot, which worried him, but i assured him that it was like that for a lot of people. i ended up just wishing he could be done already because it was very uncomfortable. he lasted a suprisingly long time! afterwards, we had a bit of a cuddle but he told me he had problems sleeping when other people were around, so he went back to his own room, only three doors down from me. a week later, we went on mid-semester break and when we got back we ended up having sex several times over the space of a couple weeks. it kind of dwindled, and i found out that during that break, he got quite drunk and had sex with someone else, a couple days after i had lost my virginity to him… so much for being special! 😛 thankfully, i have had more successful and satisfying sexual relationships since my first time.
