One day, I was called back to my hometown to look after an old family business for a day. I worked it until 5pm and then walked to my grandmother’s for dinner. I ran into my ex-girlfriend that afternoon and we hit it off really well. We met that night, danced, drank wine and had a very good time.
We kept in touch and met again a few weeks later and went for dinner (swiss chalet) and rented a motel room for the night. That night was special. We didn’t just have sex, we made love. It was just before my college graduation and I had a wonderful time. We still meet every so often, although she is my ‘competition’ (owning a franchise in one of the biggest gas stations in canada) – me being at a small independant with huge diesel sales. We still get along, and meet whenever we can.
All that while I was engaged to be married to someone else. Given the opportunity, I would change things to be with her.
