My girlfriend and I had been going out for over a year. I really loved her and she really loved me. We had booth decided, after a long and very good discussion, that we booth wanted to wait untill we were married. This is the way to be, or at least that’s what we thought.
One wed. I was up to her school. It’s a good 4 hour drive so I would usually crash in her room, her roommate was pretty cool and didn’t mind at all. It was the end of her midterms and the whole dorm was celebrating with the traditonal overindulgence. and we found ourselves alone in her room.
Well we thought that the natural thing to do was to make out to celebrate the end. Of course, half way through her room mate walked in, and we had to do the rapid seperation manouver, which I’ll guess that most of you out there are aquiainted with. She walked over to her dresser and pulled out a box of condoms toook out one and informed us tha she wouldn’t be back that night. After she left we went back to making out.
My girlfriend made a joking comment about how everyone was getting luckey but her. Me quick responce was well do you want to? And to my suprise she said yes. To say the least I was taken back, afterall we had discussed this and decided to wait. I asked “Are you sure that you really want to? I don’t want anything to ruin our relationship, I love you too much t mess it up.”
She then told me the she had wanted to for a while and she had debated it in her mind for the pase couple of weeks and had come to the conclusion that it was time for us.
She then got up went over to her romates dresser where the box of condoms was still out and got one and brought it over, and the rest is history.
After that night we didn’t make love again for almost four months, but every one of those days we were in sheer bliss.
We have since gotten engaged. I proposed on the third anniversery of our first date. and the wedding is fast approaching.
To all of you out there, you don’t have to do it all the time. infact the further appart (to a point) is better. Beleive me the wait is worth it.
