I was always too busy as a kid to enjoy the sexual side of life. But when I was 18, my family was moving to a new state. As we were leaving town, I stopped a good friend’s house a few doors down to say adios. His sister was the only one home. She was the girlfriend of another good friend and I had a crush on her for a long time. She asked me where I was going with the truck all loaded up and I told her we were moving. She told me I didn’t have her permission to move. I said I didn’t know I needed it. Then she asked me if I wanted to go see the stereo her folks had gotten her for her birthday. Of course it was in her room. When we got there, there was no new stereo. I asked her where it was and she said she had “always had a crush on me too, and we would just have to make our own music.” The rest, as they say (whoever THEY are!), is history. It was over pretty quickly. Afterwards, when I met up with my folks, who were waiting at a gas station outside of town, I got into a bunch of trouble for being late. I later learned she had married her boyfriend. And I have never seen either of them since.
